Layers palletizing crates and boxes

Crates, cartons or frozen blocks. DGS’ robot palletisers are indifferent due to their adaptability. Our solutions for palletizing products are widely applicable, depending on what you need in your operation.

Layer forming

It starts with the internal transport systems that transport the frozen blocks, cartons and crates to the palletiser. Then the desired pallet pattern is programmed, after which the palletising robot picks up a complete layer and places it on the pallet in said pattern. Palletising layers with our custom systems is the most practical solution for palletising your goods. By palletising complete layers, it doesn’t matter if the products are unstable or are oddly shaped; they can also be palletised fully automatically. The robot palletiser ensures that the layers contribute to the sturdiness of the pallet.

Placing freezer spacers

Besides palletising cartons with fresh products, we offer customers the option to add freezer spacers in the line to optimise the freezing process. The freezer spacers create optimal airflow between the cartons for a faster and more gradual freezing process. It is also possible to use the same line to remove the freezer spacers during depalletising. This is what makes our system so versatile.

Film dispenser

Finally, it is possible to place sheets of foil on the pallet as a base sheet as well as intermediately in between layers. We do this by integrating a film dispenser to the robot line. Working together with the robot palletiser both robots collaborate in creating a stable final pallet.

Wrapping, weighing, strapping

Also the completion of the pallet can be done fully automatically. At DGS we have developed several systems which prepare the final pallet for transport. Wrapping, weighing, strapping and scanning of the labels to draft new pallet lists, are in this way more efficient and labour-saving.
