Layer scanning DGS
Data is knowledge and knowledge is power; the power of optimisation. This is the starting point for many companies. At DGS, we understand that this is especially true in the food processing industry. That is why we have developed systems that keep track of product data. This information is linked through barcodes, tags and other RFID techniques. Questions such as ‘from which supplier?’, ‘From which batch?’, ‘On which pallet?’, are answered easily with DGS’ software. To enable this, the products must be scanned continuously. This also applies to the palletised layers.
To ensure that this tracked correctly, without it being time-consuming, the scanning can be done automatically with the help of our innovation. After depalletising, the layer is placed in position by means of transport systems, after which each carton can be scanned. Here the products that are in the layer get an extra tag. Now you know exactly on which pallet and in which layer the products are located. Based on this data, new pallet lists are drafted. The systems communicate with an OPC connection to create the new lists automatically.
