The slaughter process begins when the animals are received. In order for the process to be as animal-friendly as possible, it is important that the lairages are optimally equipped. The lairage is the last place where the animals can rest before going through the process.

We focus on aspects such as optimal resting areas, noise reduction for both the animals and the employees, ease of cleaning and other features to ensure efficiency and animal friendliness.

Feeding and water equipment

In order to let the animals wait for the process in comfort, we have various stainless steel feeding trough and water trough options that ensure the animals always have access to food and water without being restricted in their movement. Additional systems are available if required, such as a portable milking machine.

Emergency rails and hoist system

In the event that an animal cannot walk to the stun box independently, the use of rails or a hoist system is very practical. This prevents further delay in production and reduces the animal’s additional stress.
