Through years of experience and knowledge, we know that no two packing lines are the same. Therefore, we have developed the modular packing line. Our modular packing line makes it possible to automate several processes and actions within the packing line. The degree of automation depends on the situation and, of course, the wishes of the client. By automating various processes, you save time and money. This enables us to improve the output per FTE. In addition, the modular packing line is easily integrateable with your current operation. After all, flexibility is pivotal.

Batching system

DGS offers various batching systems for the partial or complete automation of the packing line. With the high volume batcher, batches can be weighed semi-automatically at high speed. The product is supplied in bulk to the batcher. The batcher then automatically weighs the desired quantity, possibly with manual correction by an operator for large products, after which the product is automatically unloaded from the weighing bunker.

Flowpacker

The flowpack volume batcher then ensures that the processed and weighed meat is packed in the correct batches. This is done in both bags and cartons. When higher volumes have to be packed, the DGS crate screw batcher is the best solution. By means of a crate screw conveyor, larger batches can be efficiently weighed, packed and transported.

To automate the process even more, you could also choose to have the bags deposited directly into the crates. Alternatively, you can use our automatic infeed line for empty crates, so that operators can easily pick them up from the belt and place the bag inside.

Carton closing

Finally, with our modular expandable packing line, you can choose to fully automate by using our carton closing systems. The DGS box erectors and loaders automatically fill the boxes, after which the lid erector seals the box. The box can then be scanned, weiged and stacked unto a pallet.
