DGS batching systems

Because no batching system is the same, DGS’ systems are modular. This means they are not only suitable for completely new lines, but can also be integrated into existing systems.

Products are fed in bulk, e.g. by Dolav, into the hopper. This is then distributed over several conveyor belts, so that the correct weight can be accurately achieved (both fixed weight and catch weight). Weighing is fully automatic and once the desired weight is reached, the system lowers the products into the packaging. These can be either cartons or crates, and optionally horizontal and vertical flow packs can be added. Coarser bulk packaging is also possible, with weights ranging from 5 to 20 kg.

For both crates and boxes, DGS offers various packing options. These include bulk packing, soldier packing or layer packing (with layers of film between the products). After packing, operations such as lidding, closing and strapping of the boxes can be automated. We also offer metal detection to ensure food safety.

Transparency and traceability

Our proprietary software Twaka offers full transparency and traceability within the production process, making it easy to detect any problems. This allows you to recall products in a targeted way if something goes wrong. Weighing, scanning and labelling of products is also possible with Twaka’s software. As a result, labels always contain the correct information and comply with Dutch and European standards. With Twaka you have all the necessary software in one package resulting in clear article management, clear insight into the output and a transparent whole.
