Milestone for DGS: First Dutch Company with Own ViwateQ Installation

We proudly announce that DGS has obtained an exclusive license from ViwateQ Geldermalsen. ViwateQ has developed an innovative method for treating stainless steel, without using chemicals, making the process sustainable and environmentally friendly.

ViwateQ Finishing is not a traditional pickling process, but an entirely new approach to surface treatment. It results in improved condition of stainless steel surfaces, crucial for the food industry. Thanks to the structure of the new surface, stainless steel is more resistant to corrosion and easier to clean, as dirt and bacteria adhere less.

The ViwateQ installation is located in the extension of our welding hall. DGS obtaining its own license is quite unique. Although two companies in Belgium and Denmark have their own installation, this was not the case in the Netherlands. Having our own installation brings several advantages. Firstly, ViwateQ Finishing ensures the best possible surface condition for the end user. Additionally, DGS no longer needs to have the material treated externally, saving time in the production process. The ViwateQ installation will be operational in early March.
