New Sales Manager Jorie Aerts Strengthens DGS, HYTT, and RF Food Systems
Recently, we welcomed Jorie Aerts as Sales Manager at DGS. He’ll also work for two other companies within the DGS group: HYTT and RF Food Systems. Jorie acts as a connecting link between the three companies, providing customers with comprehensive solutions. With a background in the food industry, Jorie brings valuable experience.
How has your career unfolded so far?
After completing my education, I worked as an in-house car salesman for five days a week. Seeking a more active role, I transitioned to an external position at Sismatec in Almelo and later spent over seven years in sales at GEA Group. The move into the food industry wasn’t coincidental; my father and brother had longstanding roles in the sector.
How did you find your way to DGS?
Primarily through my father, who co-owns HYTT and RF Food Systems in Borne with Dennis Grolleman and Eric Oving. As my father approaches 65, he sought someone to potentially take on his responsibilities. Given my extensive experience in the food industry, the connection with DGS was natural. The three companies operate in the same industry, enabling me to enhance collaboration. Additionally, I’ve known DGS and some of its employees for years.
What does the future hold as you work for DGS, HYTT, and RF Food Systems?
I’ll divide my time as Sales Manager for all three companies, actively seeking new customers and introducing DGS, HYTT, and RF Food Systems solutions to my network. Collaboration with Sales Managers from both the slaughter and automation departments at DGS is a key aspect. HYTT, involved in slaughter solutions, also offers plastic disposal solutions beneficial for L&R.
Your impressions of DGS so far?
Firstly, it’s impressive what has been achieved in just ten years with a healthy work ethic and a straightforward approach. The absence of unnecessary complications and a culture where everyone is approachable, without a strict dress code, suits me well.
Closing thoughts: What’s on your bucket list?
I’d love to take multiple trips with my family before the kids leave home, perhaps from the east to the west of the United States. A journey that imparts lasting memories for them over the next 20 years.
