Efficient Carcass Leg Transfer

DGS offers leg transfer systems to ensure a smooth and efficient transition of carcasses during the slaughter process. These systems ensure a seamless transition from the bleeding conveyor to the slaughter conveyor, reducing the load on operators. This results in high productivity, improved quality and a smooth process in slaughterhouses.

DGS’ leg transfer systems are manufactured from galvanised steel. We also offer stainless steel or a combination thereof, making them more durable, low-maintenance and easier to clean.

During transfer, both lower legs are removed from the carcass using leg cutters. To maintain the highest possible level of hygiene, we offer sterilisation booths if required, so that the leg cutters can be cleaned after each operation. Moreover, DGS also offers various conveyor systems for leg removal, where it is possible to present the legs synchronously with the red and white organs at the PM inspection.

Automatic Return of Used Hooks

DGS’s empty hook system offers a practical solution to optimize the return process of used slaughter hooks and leg chains. This system automatically returns used hooks to the beginning of the slaughter line and can be customized to fit the specific layout of the slaughterhouse. DGS also provides sterilization options for the used hooks before reuse. Integrated with PLC, speed and position of hooks can be remotely controlled.
