Pallet freezing at DGS
When freezing and storing palletised products, it is important that the freezing process is as fast and proportional as possible. To prevent the outer products on a pallet from freezing earlier than the rest, we use plastic spacers. These plates with hollow and upright parts ensure that the cold air flow also passes between the different layers. They are automatically added by our spacer robot after each layer during palletising and halve the duration of the freezing process.
Because the spacers are plastic, they can be easily cleaned. Also, the hard and smooth surface prevents the growth of bacteria, which is especially important for the food industry. Furthermore, the spacers are designed to be sturdy and long-lasting.
For the storage of products that have just been frozen, we are happy to think about cold and freezer storage.
